I have a beautiful friend, she is one of the sweetest funniest people you will ever meet. The heartbreaking truth is that she has picked up the act of self harm once again. Her parents have given up on her, she has no one else to come to. This is why I'm here. She wants to quit cutting. She has trusted me to watch her, to support her.
I've dealt with cutting before. Getting "adults" and "authorities" involved doesn't fucking help.
Assisting the person who is suffering from this addiction by being there for them, giving them all your love, giving them a chance, this is what I am trying.
She wants to get better, she wants to kick this habit. To prove this, she has been giving me her tools, one by one, day by day. Here I will document our progress and our hardships anonymously.

DAY ONE.
This is day one of our documentation, and even though this is the first tool I photographed, it’s not the first one I was “gifted”.
I was given plastic pieces much like this for the past three days, and a jagged metal piece of a pen.
I’ve not been shown any bloody cuts yet, but I fear it’s only a matter of time before she slips back into the dark place. I will be here though, trough it all. ♥
